Savannah will bounce back from Newcastle
We were expecting much more from Savannah Beau at Newcastle last time but she has been on the go for a long time now and it looks like she needs a break. Graham Lee said she felt very flat and there was nothing in the locker when he wanted to go through the gears so we’ll give her a break now and freshen her up.
We still think there is plenty of mileage in her current mark and there are tons of races for a 70-rated filly who goes well on an all-weather surface, so we’ll scan the programme book and find a race for her in the new year. We still believe she can stay seven furlongs but she’s a versatile filly that can race over 5f or 6f, so we won’t be short of options.
Oddschecker tipster Andy Holding, who uses sectional timing for his all-weather selections, tipped Savannah Beau at Newcastle, indicating her winning performance at the track on Nov 14 was impressive on the clock, which bodes well for the future.
